Privacy Policy — VttTokenMaker
We built VttTokenMaker with privacy at the core. No background images are uploaded to our servers. Certain AI features are optional and clearly explained below.

Overview
VttTokenMaker ("VttTokenMaker," "we," "us," or "our") is a web app that lets gamers create tokens for virtual tabletop games. We are based in India and can be contacted at connect@vtttokenmaker.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we (do and do not) collect and how we handle it in line with applicable laws of India.
Our privacy promise
- No tracking for ads. We do not sell personal data or run advertising trackers.
- Optional AI features. If you opt in to AI custom borders, we store only what's needed to provide that feature, under your logged-in account.
VttTokenMaker is designed to be privacy-first. The default token workflow keeps your images on your device.
What we don’t collect by default
In the standard token maker flow, we do not upload or store:
- Your background images
- Generated tokens
- EXIF/metadata from your images
All of the above remain in your browser unless you explicitly download them to your device.
When we collect/store data
Certain features require an account and limited server-side storage:
- Account & authentication. We store your account details (e.g., email and authentication data) to let you log in. Passwords, if used, are stored using industry-standard hashing.
- AI custom border feature (opt-in). If you use our AI to generate or customize token borders, we store the prompts you submit, the border style settings, and the generated border outputs associated with your account so you can re-use and manage them.
- Support communications. If you email us, we receive the information you provide (e.g., email address and message content) so we can assist you.
Payments
Payments are processed by our third-party payment partner (the “Payment Processor”). We do not store or have access to your full card details. The Payment Processor independently collects and processes your payment information subject to their own privacy policy. We may receive limited information related to the transaction (e.g., payment status, timestamp, and a masked identifier) so we can fulfill your purchase.
Cookies & local storage
- Strictly necessary cookies (e.g., for login sessions, CSRF, and basic site functionality).
- Local storage may be used to remember your UI settings and improve your editing workflow.
Security, logs, and fraud prevention
To keep the service secure and reliable, our servers may temporarily log standard technical information provided by your browser or device (such as IP address, user-agent, and basic error diagnostics). These are used for security, misuse detection, and debugging.
Children’s privacy
VttTokenMaker is not directed to children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Your choices & rights
- Access & correction: You can access or update your account information from your profile or by contacting us.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated AI border data. Some transactional records may be retained as required by law.
- Consent: You can choose whether to use the optional AI features. Not using them means we will not store prompts or border outputs for you.
Storage & international transfers
We may use trusted hosting and service providers that operate globally. Where data is stored or processed outside India, we implement reasonable safeguards consistent with applicable laws.
Legal basis & compliance
We process information to provide and improve our services, to fulfill purchases, to secure our platform, and—where applicable—based on your consent (e.g., for the AI custom border feature). We aim to comply with applicable data protection laws of India and other relevant laws.
Data retention
We retain account and AI feature data for as long as you maintain an account or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time. Legal, security, or accounting requirements may require us to retain certain records.
Third-party services & links
Our site may link to third-party sites or services (including the Payment Processor). Those have their own privacy practices. Please review their policies when you use them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting a notice on the site or emailing account holders).
